The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
